When we first received the Autism diagnosis for our daughter, Olivia, it seemed that the wind was vacuumed out of our sails.  The life we planned appeared to be over!  I'm sure many of you feel the same way.  We had no idea where to turn for information.  Our pediatrician was less than helpful.  Heck, he still doesn't get it. 

My wife, Christine, really was the first to act.  She asked around and found a support group.  This group focused on biological treatments like chelation, enzymes, etc..  We went to months of meetings and researched everything we could find (thank goodness for the internet).  You get to a point where you're willing to try anything.  You just want you child to become whole.  Our criteria were that whatever we put into Olivia's body had to be natural without harm to her liver.  We aren't willing to sacrifice her liver or anything else, to change the autism symptoms.
